The Beginnings of Maruto Confectionery

Shortly after the war, when sweets were a precious commodity, we made "potato candy" from sweet potato starch and distributed it to our neighbors, bringing smiles to everyone's faces. Since then, we have grown as a company by responding to the needs of the times with caramel, arare, mochi, and more. We will continue to devote our efforts to further product development and research, and make sweets that bring smiles and deliciousness to everyone.

Commitment to safety

All products manufactured by Maruto Confectionery contain as few preservatives as possible and have a shelf life of 60 to 90 days after manufacture (unopened and stored at room temperature). By researching not only the manufacturing process but also our unique blends, special packaging materials, and quality preserving agents, we create products that can be enjoyed without compromising the flavor or texture.

FSSC22000

Maruto Confectionery manufactures products that use as few preservatives as possible, and through extensive research into not only manufacturing methods but also unique compounding, special packaging materials, and quality preserving agents, we create products that can be enjoyed without compromising flavor or texture. We have acquired ISO22000 and FSSC22000 for food safety. Our factories have strengthened measures against foreign matter contamination, such as air showers and X-ray inspection equipment. All of our staff work hard to deliver "safe and delicious products" while evolving our strict manufacturing manuals.
